OVERVIEW OF SOCIOUS.

Late last year, Fobo set out to create a new social experience within pubs, bars and other socially orientated spaces. With this ambition driving the team from the outset, and the culmination of many man hours the Socious platform was created.

Socious is a gaming table focused on providing a social entertainment experience while also serving as a "normal" table. The first game to be hosted on the Socious system is Xplosion, which blends elements of classic arcade games and plays with the new technology of camera phones. A two player game, Xplosion pits two opponents at opposite ends of the table against one another in a battle of bombs, tactics and quick reflexes.

SOCIOUS SUMMARY:

The Socious product is essentially a gaming table. The first version of the table will have a minimalist theme. However the underlying system of computer and game will have the ability to be incorporated into any table design to suit different venue.

The top of the table will be made out of Perspex. The frame will be constructed of wood, with a black finish.

Along with the physical table, their will be a 15inch TFT computer screen and window based computer. The computer components will be cased inside the table and not visible to the players. The control devices for the game will be a joystick and two buttons there will be a set of these at each end of the table.

The table will have the ability to display drinks promotions, advertising and events when a game is not being played.
